The importance of energy storage is rapidly increasing in the transition towards a fully sustainable and clean energy supply. Energy storage will become vital for a reliable and affordable energy system. Energy Storage NL represents the interests of Dutch companies and organizations that develop, manufacture and apply innovative storage technologies. We do so by initiating and contributing to projects and studies on the application of Energy Storage. Through these efforts, we aim at bringing Energy Storage to attention in politics, the media and at events. This helps us to remove obstructive rules and regulations that hamper the development of energy storage. We furthermore organize regular meetings with a sophisticated network consisting of academics, research institutions, (energy) companies and system operators active in the field of energy storage.
ENTSO-E, the European Network of Transmission System Operators, represents 43 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) from 36 countries across Europe. ENTSO-E was established and given legal mandates by the EU’s Third Legislative Package for the Internal Energy Market in 2009, which aims at further liberalising the gas and electricity markets in the EU.
EUROBAT is the association for the European manufacturers of automotive, industrial and energy storage batteries. EUROBAT has 52 members from across the continent comprising more than 90% of the automotive and industrial battery industry in Europe. The members and staff work with all stakeholders, such as battery users, governmental organisations and media, to develop new battery solutions in areas of hybrid and electro-mobility as well as grid flexibility and renewable energy storage.
