    Allan has been involved in the power sector for more than 30 years, initially as an engineer, and in finance for more than 20 years. During his career he has advised on and/or financed many power projects around the world ranging from green-field renewable energy, through to the acquisition of large international power portfolios. In renewable energy, Allan has acted as financial advisor a number of offshore wind transactions both on the debt and equity side, including most recently a floating wind project in Europe, the successful Borssele 3&4 debt raising and equity sell down in the Netherlands and acquisition of the NNG asset in the UK for EDF.

    Allan has a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer.

    Stathis Peteves is Head of Knowledge for Energy Union in the Energy, Transport and Climate Directorate.

    He has been working for the Commission since 1987 addressing issues such as advanced materials technologies, power generation, alternative fuels, energy technologies assessment and modelling in support of energy technology and energy policy. The key activities of his Unit include techno-socio-economic assessments of energy technologies, energy technologies/systems modeling, energy technology innovation and critical materials.His current focus is the energy technology pillar of EU's energy & climate change policy, the Strategic Energy Technologies Plan (SET-Plan). He leads the Commission's Strategic Energy Technologies Information System (SETIS), the scientific and technical support tool to the decision making of the SET-Plan governance and the monitor and assessor of EU's energy technology innovation progress.

    Stathis holds degrees from the National Technical University of Athens, the George Washington University (MSc) and the University of Florida (PhD). He has authored more than 100 publications and 4 books.

    Before, he lead the business development activities in the US and Canada for Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA) and was Board Member of Tradewind and Geronimo Energy, as well as a Board Member for the Utah Infrastructure Board, an advisory role directly appointed by the Governor.

    Prior to joining EGPNA, Mr Post was the Deputy Director of Business Development and Strategy for Endesa in Latin America and in Europe, and occupied several board positions. Mr Post was Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company. Mr Post holds an MBA from Columbia Business School (with Sigma Bea Gamma award) and Doctorandus degree from the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (with special honors).
